This website has been set up as part of a project entitled Marketing Graduates’ Skills, and run by Dr Peter Levin, formerly of the London School of Economics, and Ivan Kent, formerly of Oxford Brookes University. This action-research project was one of the Higher Education Innovations Fund series, initiated by the DfES and subsequently taken over by HEFCE, which got under way in the Summer of 2000 and concluded in the Autumn of 2002.

The aim of our project was to pioneer a model of skills development that was flexible enough to improve the prospects of students entering any field of graduate employment and that is simple enough and robust enough to fit into typical university course structures and methods. We focused on ‘teamwork’ because we found it to be a suitable vehicle for developing a range of skills, especially interpersonal skills, that are applicable to both learning and employability. 

This site fulfils two purposes:

• It serves as an archive, holding the various reports and other materials generated by the Marketing Graduates' Skills project. (temporarily unavailable owing to site reorganisation)

• It presents a range of materials which we use with LSE students and which we hope will be of interest and practical use to others concerned to help university students to develop 'teamwork skills' and work creatively and effectively on group projects as part of their academic work.
